CHUMBE ISLAND Located just off Stone Town, about 30 minutes by boat, Chumbe Island is was the first private marine reserves in Tanzania. The pristine coral reef offers one of the most beautiful snorkeling in the world. It's possible to arrange snorkeling trips to the island [diving is not allowed] however, daily access, depends on the number of people present on the island [the island is also a multi award winning resort] therefore can be granted only a few days ahead. Please enquire once here. If available, you can also book a courtesy room. Duration: full day with possibility to dine in Stone Town before returning. |
