FISHING Zanzibar which offers some of Africa's best deep sea fishing grounds. Fishing has two definite seasons, related to the monsoon winds: the yellowfin tuna season, which runs from August to November, when waters are rich of big blue marlin, striped and black marlin and sailfish too, and the prime marlin season, which runs from November to mid of March. Depending on the season you can expect to catch Billfish Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Broadbill, Sailfish, Shortbill Spearfish, Tuna, Giant Trevally, Kingfish, Dorado, Wahoo and Barracuda. SMALL FISHING You will exit in Ngalawa, the typical boat used by local fishermen when fishing small fish near the reef. Those who does not like fisging can go along and enjoy some snorkeling. duration: half day cost: 20 usd BIG FISHING By car you will reach Kizimkazi from where you'll exit in open sea by fiberglass boat and start trawling fishing. You can expect to fish dorado, tuna, marlins, Kingfish ... The fish should be divided with the captain and we will be happy to cook your catch at Paje by Night in the style you will prefere.
